The Garden City Figure Skating Club is a non-profit
organization. We need to sustain our club by
covering all our costs for programming and
administrative functions.
All skaters are welcome to participate on club ice for
three Freestyle sessions. On the fourth visit you
must choose a membership.
The Garden City Figure Skating Club invites
membership applications from those individuals who
wish to assist the GCFSC in the fulfillment of the
purposes and activities of the organization.
The following types of membership are offered:
First Club Member:
This membership receives all the
benefits of the organization.
*Membership in the GCFSC and the USF
*Membership includes one adult
*Receives USFS publication Skating Magazine.
*Receives USFS & GCFSC testing privileges
*Represents GCFSC in USFS
Competitions and Exhibitions.
*Purchase GCFSC punch cards
*Voting privileges are granted if the GCFSC
member is at least 18 years of age.
*Invited to skate in the Christmas School Exhibitions.
*Invited to skate in the Club Christmas Exhibition.
*Invitation to the Christmas Club Dinner.
*Invitation to the GCFSC Awards and Banquet.
*Invitation to all GCFSC functions on and off ice.
*Member must fulfill (10 volunteer hours for GCFSC
functions)
Second Club Member:
This membership is for those skaters who have their
primary membership with another USFS club but
wish to participate in the GCFSC.
*Secondary membership in the GCFSC.
*If skater is under 18 years of age one parent
membership is required..
*GCFSC Testing privileges. (No out of club testing
fees)
*Purchase GCFSC punch cards.
*Invited to skate in the Christmas School Exhibitions.
*Invited to attend limited GCFSC functions:
Skate-a-thon, picnic, ice-cream social, skating clinic
Basic Skills Member:
This membership is for those skaters who are
enrolled in the USFS (GCFSC) Basic Skills Program.
These members have not tested or competed above
the
USFS Basic Skills “Learn to Skate” Freestyle 6
level.
*Membership in the GCFSC through the Basic Skills
program.
*Represents GCFSC in any Basic Skills Competition
or Exhibition.
*Purchase GCFSC punch cards.
*Invited to skate in the Christmas School Exhibitions.
* Invited to attend limited GCFSC functions:
